Some time ago I checked to see if a Web Site existed for our family name. Some of our distant relatives in Scotland had already taken www.Riach.com so we took the Riachfamily address to provide a platform for family to exchange information. As a result we created this page.

If you want to use an e-mail routing through the web host, we can do that. What is the advantage of e-mail routing? First and foremost, in my opinion, is that you can always have the same e-mail address no matter what service provider you have. As long as the riachfamily domain name stays in use the e-mail address can be used to forward e-mail to whatever service your currently using. So if you get tired of AOL and decide to switch to comcast, we just change the routing for "your name goes here"@riachfamily.com to direct it to your new comcast e-mail address.

Second is the reduction of junk e-mail. A tremendous amount of trash e-mail is generated just by spamers e-mailing to everyone@aol.com for instance. When you have a web host like this we exclude those because only e-mails to "someone"@riachfamily.com get routed to your e-mail account. You simply let everyone you correspond with via e-mail know your new e-mail address and set your own e-mail account up to exclude all e-mails from other senders.

Literal translation is "By faith and courage" although a common translation is "By Fidelity and Fortitude". I think maybe

it's a combination of all four.
